Mini farmers are invited to our free workshops with environmental education centre and community garden CERES.
Saturday 30th August: Become an Urban Farmer 🌱
Fancy yourself a green thumb?
Young farmers and their parents can drop in and chat with the friendly facilitators about the benefits of urban farming, while making a newspaper pot and planting their own organic seedling to take home!
Saturday 13th September: Seed Balls for the Future 🌻
Ever wonder what ‘biodiversity’ is and why it’s so important? Or how you can make your school or home garden a haven for different plants and animals?
We welcome children and their parents to drop-in and make a pollinating seed bomb to take home! The clay and compost casing nurtures the seed until it’s ready to germinate, toss your seed bomb into a sunny spot in the garden and wait for the flowers to grow.
