Kmart Wishing Tree Appeal
Coming Soon • Sun, 9 Nov 2025, 11:00pm
Join us at Kmart on Monday 10th November at 10am to launch the Kmart Wishing Tree Appeal for 2025.
Special guests and activities will include face painting, carols from local primary schools, local members of the Salvation Army Merri-bek and Santa Claus himself!
About the Kmart Wishing Tree Appeal
Now in its 38th year, the Appeal has brought joy to countless lives during Christmas delivering gifts and joy to Australians facing hardship, crisis, and ongoing cost of living pressures.
Give a Gift in Store
With your gift in tow, please head to the Wishing Tree in any Kmart store and place a Wishing Tree sticker on your gift.
A Salvation Army representative will then collect the gifts from Kmart stores and oversee their distribution to those in need.
Gifts do not need to be purchased at Kmart, and we kindly ask that you do not wrap them. The Appeal is unable to accept used or second-hand gifts.
This year, we are especially hoping for gifts that will bring joy to teenagers and help families connect and share special moments together. Some gift ideas include outdoor equipment, board games, headphones, gift cards, educational toys, backpacks, or arts and crafts.
Give Money in Stores
You can make a cash contribution in any Kmart store by:
1. Scanning the QR code at a Wishing Tree in any Kmart store to make a donation of your choice
2. By selecting a $2 donation gift card off any Kmart Wishing Tree or when you're at the registers, then scan and add a $2 donation to your shop
3. Clicking the Wishing Tree logo on self-serve checkouts to add a little extra
4. Dropping your spare change in a collection box at any register
